THE National Geographic released news from the documentary Bios – Lives That Marked His who will first be honored by the writer Maurício de Sousa.
Guided and presented by the comedian Fábio Porchat, the original National Geographic production goes through the history and professional trajectory of the Brazilian artist who created the Monica’s Gang.

Thus, Porchat and Mauricio de Sousa will remember the most memorable moments of the cartoonist’s life, in a revealing and emotional journey about this Latin American legend, which accompanies the growth of thousands of children around the world.
The production of the documentary mixes scenes from the past recorded by the artist himself, starring, mainly, his grandmother Dona Dita, and interviews conducted by Porchat with important characters in Mauricio’s life.
Mauricio’s close friends and family participated in the production, giving testimonies about his life.
Her children Mônica, Magali, Mariângela, Maurício, Marcelo, her cousin Terezinha, her friend Luiz Carlos da Cruz – who inspired the creation of Cebolinha -, Sergio Graciano – finalist who worked for more than 50 years with Mauricio -, in addition to celebrities how Xuxa and Porchat himself helped to recreate Mauricio de Sousa’s legacy.
