The first season of Undone, the new adult animated series from Prime Video, Amazon’s streaming service, was launched on Friday (13).

Created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Kate Purdy, already known for their work on BoJack Horseman, the series uses the technique of rotoscoping in which actors interpret the scenes normally and, later, have their images transformed into animation.

The technique was already widely used in the last century by Disney, but returned to gain attention after the success of The Double Man (2006), with Keanu Reeves.

Undone, in turn, stars Rosa Salazar, who won the audience as Brenda in the film franchise Maze Runner and, in 2019, starred in Alita – Combat Angel. According to the official synopsis on the Amazon website, “The animated series UNDONE explores the elastic nature of reality”.

The central character is Alma, a 28-year-old woman who rediscovers her relationship with fear after almost dying in a car accident. With his new ability, he will seek to discover the truth behind his father’s death.

Rated for 16 years, the animation has 8 episodes of 23 minutes each, available in dubbed and subtitled options.
