Last Monday (4) the author Stephenie Meyer confirmed the launch of a new book in the Twilight Saga, entitled “Midnight Sun“. The book will retell the original story, but this time narrated from the vampire’s point of view Edward Cullen, played in the films by the actor Robert Pattinson.

After a five-year break since the last spin off and 13 years since the launch of the Twilight saga, Stephenie Meyer revealed on her official website the release date for the new book, set for August 4th. The title of the book in free translation is “Midnight sun”.
I’m happy to announce that Midnight Sun is finally (very close to) ready! And it will be in bookstores on August 4th.
The author said in a statement shared on her official website.
The writer commented on the idea of postponing the launch of the book due to an official pandemic due to the new coronavirus. However, the author chose to keep the release date close, claiming that fans have waited too long. The news of the book’s release encouraged fans during the quarantine.

Stephenie Meyer also told fans about the feeling of working on the book narrated by Edward Cullen for so long in his life.
Working on a book for over thirteen years is a strange experience. I am not the same person that I was then. My children grew up. My back felt strange. The world is a different place. I can only imagine all the things that have changed for you. But completing Midnight Sun brought me back to those early days of Twilight, when I met many of you.
