Let’s take projects that worked in the past and make a sequel to it!

According to website information Collider, a Warner Bros develops a prequel of the movie Training Day.

The publication states that the screenwriter Nick Yarborough must take care of the new version script.

Released in 2001, the film had the main roles of the actors Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, where both were nominated for an Oscar for the feature. Washington even won Best Actor at the time.

The website claims that the feature in development must be years before the events seen in the first film, and accompany a younger version of the Washington character, Alonzo Harris.

The first film was directed by Antoine Fuqua and script of David Ayer.

History followed Jake Hoyt (Hawkwe), a young Los Angeles police officer, joins the police narcotics team and receives as a training officer and partner Alonzo Harris (Washington), a veteran and corrupt police officer.

As the day goes on, the young man is exposed to all kinds of corruption and is still accused of murder, events that are orchestrated by Alonzo in order to cover up a mistake he made with the Russian mafia, which could cause him to be killed if you don’t get a large amount of money by midnight.

The new version has no premiere date.
