Tony Hale in double dose!
The actor will play twin brothers in the new series Hulu based on the book The Mysterious Benedict Society from the author Trenton Lee Stewart.
The producer 20th Century TV will adapt and launch the project through Hulu, which is also part of Disney.
Hale, seen in the series VEEP gives HBO, will interpret the Mr. Benedict, and his twin brother, the Mr. Curtain.
The series will have scripts by the duo Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay.
The series will accompany 4 empowered orphans who are recruited by an eccentric man (Hale) to complete a secret mission. The group will live in a secluded mansion known for The Institute while they need to unlock a secret to save the world. Of course, halfway through they will create a new dysfunctional family.
The series must adapt the first book of the trilogy composed by the books The Mysterious Benedict Society, The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey, and The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner’s Dilemma.
The franchise also has a fourth prequel book called The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict.
Other names for the cast were not announced.
The Mysterious Benedict Society has no premiere date.
