Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story), said in a recent interview that the newest film in his franchise, Toy Story 4, will look like Avengers: Infinity War, at least on an emotional level. He comments:
“I have to resist getting emotional because I don’t want to give up, but this is an incredibly good story. If you’re a fan of superheroes, Infinite War – I’m a big fan of superheroes – it doesn’t look like it’s going to work, but it was a lot of vignettes that made sense. For this Toy Story 4, we went through this once, there will be several more enchantments, but it’s so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so great the idea of what they invented. I’m scared. I thought the 3 was amazing, but this one, I couldn’t even get through the last scene, okay? I would love to be a Washington information leak, but I just can’t do that. I can’t say any more. They have great characters , but some scenes at the end were very difficult to watch. “
In terms of the plot, all we know so far about the fourth Toy Story 4 movie is that it will show Woody and Buzz going on a journey to find Bo Peep (Betty), who was absent from Toy Story 3 because it was given years before . Most of the cast of Toy Story 3 will reprise their roles. Don Rickles, who voiced Mr. Potato Head, passed away in 2017 before he could record his lines, and his replacement has yet to be announced.
Toy Story 4 will be released in theaters on June 21, 2019. Read more about the film on our website to learn more about the release.
