In a live stream on his personal profile on Instagram, director Taika Waititi revealed to fans some unpublished details about Thor: Love & Thunder, the new film in the franchise expected to hit theaters in 2022.
On the live, Waititi said he is currently in his fourth or fifth draft of the film’s script, noting that he “can’t wait to do it, because it has become super exaggerated now, in a good way.
The director also revealed that the new film “makes Ragnarok look really good, but very safe”. He continues: “There is a lot in it, a lot of plays. For this new film, it seems that we asked a group of 10 year old children what should be in the film and we just said ‘yes’ to everything. We also combined some of the comic books … like space sharks; if you look for space sharks, you have a good idea of what that is. “
With new changes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe premiere schedule, the movie Thor: Love and Thunder, originally expected to premiere in late 2021, now hits theaters only on February 28, 2022.
As the script has not yet been finalized, the recordings have not started and, therefore, the official trailer for the new film has not yet been released.
