The Umbrella Academy is about to return for its second season on Netflix and, even without an official trailer released so far, fans can already get a sense of what will happen in the new episodes of the popular American series thanks to an official synopsis, shared by streaming platform itself recently.

Check out the full text below:

“Five warned his family (so many times) that using his powers to escape Vanya’s apocalypse in 2019 was risky. Well, he was right – the time jump spreads the brothers in time and around Dallas, Texas. Over a period of beginning in 1960. Some, who have been trapped in the past for years, built lives and moved on, certain that they are the only ones who survived. Five is the last to land, right in the middle of a nuclear doomsday, the what happens – spoiler alert! – is the result of the group interrupting the schedule (déjà vu, anyone?). Now the Umbrella Academy must find a way to get together, find out what caused doomsday, end that and return to the current timeline to stop this other apocalypse. All the while, being hunted by a trio of cruel Swedish killers. But seriously, no pressure or anything. “

In this way, we will have the brothers living separately at different times, while fighting both crime and trying to restore order to their lives.

With Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Justin Min in the lead roles, the second season premieres on July 31 exclusively on Netflix.
