I like the way Lim and Andrew have discussed how they deal with Shaun in the hospital, and The Good Doctor he does not forget almost anyone during his development process and here it was time to show another side of Melendez.
SPOILER ALERT: This article contains information about the main events of the episode. Continue reading at your own risk.
Shaun needs to train for another surgery where he will be the leader and decides to assemble his team to train, the problem is that Nurse Hawks bumps him in the face about his relationship with Charlie, which makes him create some obstacles in his mind regarding to her.
He leaving her aside and even taking her out of the operating room was very intense, and where Lim and Andrew get into a fight, since Shaun can take a stain on his career if the nurse opens a representation against him. He then tries to apologize, but he comes out more aggressive and in the end everything is resolved, and it’s cool to show that he is learning and evolving.
Lim and Melendez have to deal with Patty’s cancer and pregnancy risk and she takes the risk to save her baby, even if her husband doesn’t agree. During the surgery, she then dies and they save the baby … Very sad the character’s death, the husband who wanted to save his beloved, but the loss of the patient also shook Melendez, who cried a lot and was comforted by Lim.
Morgan is increasingly concerned about Claire, who is playing grief and sadness over her mother’s death in futile things, trading night for day and even missing her hours at the hospital.
Glassman, on the other hand, had to deal with the dismissal of Debbie, who gave some people thanksgiving coffee and that made her lose her job. Only she asks him to consider putting her as a nurse in the hospital … So he ends up hiring her to be his secretary in the office.
Finally Charlie finally calls Shaun a boyfriend and he is more relieved, taking away all the tension he kept in the episode.
At the end The Good Doctor it remains interesting, it brings interesting dramas for its characters, but always being exciting and light.
