Inspired by the book of the same name by Beth Reekles, The Kissing Booth was the most popular Netflix Original movie in the year it was released, 2018.
The sequel was quickly promised, but the delay scared fans so much that they thought the project had been canceled, but news was released on Thursday night, May 21.
In a live on the official Netflix channel on YouTube, actress Joey King, who plays the film’s protagonist, Elle Evans, put together a puzzle while talking to fans. The broadcast lasted just under 50 minutes and, at the end of it, it was revealed that the puzzle image contained the official poster for A Barraca do Beijo 2, as well as its debut date: July 24, 2020.
The film will also feature the return of Jacob Elordi and Joel Courtney to the male lead roles, completing the love triangle.

In the plot of the first feature, Elle is Lee’s best friend and the two have some rules, the main one being that Elle cannot date Noah, his older brother. However, there are no rules for love, and this long friendship will be put to the test.
