First of all… what is phobia?
It is feeling excessive fear or aversion to an object or situation that is unlikely to cause harm, can cause anxiety attacks, and a lack of self-control. It can be treated with a psychologist or psychiatrist.
We know that there are more common phobias, but have you heard of these?
Ironically, this phobia is about people who are afraid to pronounce large or complex words, it develops out of nervousness about speaking incorrectly.
It is also usually related to social shyness or fear of being ridiculed.
It may sound crazy, but people with deipnophobia just feel sick when it comes to having dinner with friends. Although it is not very common, it has an explanation, apparently the fear is because the person believes that conflicts and arguments can happen and that leaves him in despair!
Also known as chromatophobia, is a fear of colors. Specifically, it can happen when a person stops having some bad experience associated with a color or colors in general. Phobia is not at all common and can interfere a lot in daily life.
Not far from the phobia above, this one has a specific color: yellow. Yes, that’s right, fear involves anything yellow, even the sun, in extreme cases, fear even of the word itself, the person ends up associating the color with some trauma.
This phobia is due to the fear of sitting down, even lying down. It is developed by past traumas, such as experiences of sitting on embers, sharp objects or methods that caused a lot of suffering to the person. Like any other phobia, it can be treated but it is very rare, see?
