THE Globo Films and the H20 Films released the comedy trailer Up close she is not normal based on the actress’s monologue Suzana Pires, which has performed on stages across the country, and will now hit theaters in April.
The script is by Suzana herself, who writes for the first time for cinema, in partnership with Martha Mendonça and Renato Santos.
In the plot, we accompany Suzie (Suzana Pires), a mature woman, in her 40s, married and with two grown daughters, who follows exactly the traditional life that her mother believed to be the correct one. Wife of her childhood friend, Pedrinho (Marcelo Serrado), a lazy man and without much opinion of his own, Suzie still has to deal with Dora (Cristina Pereira), a grumpy mother-in-law who makes her life a living hell. Feeling unhappy and pressured by everything and everyone, she can no longer see herself as the sensitive and creative girl she was in childhood. When she meets her Aunt Suely (Suzana Pires), a free and determined woman, she decides to take a turn in life and go in search of herself.
In the cast we still have Samantha Schmütz, Heloísa Perissé, Maria Clara Spinelli, Angélica, Ivete Sangalo, Marcelo Serrado, Henri Castelli, and Gaby Amarantos.
The film is scheduled to debut on April 2.
