Han Solo: A Star Wars Story hit theaters in Brazil last Thursday (24). Han’s first spin-off, the hooligan mercenary from the great 80’s franchise introduces us to the character’s past, before his first contact with Luke Skywalker.

Thanks to the film we were able to learn a little about his history, how he met Chewbacca and his first moments as a Millenium Falcon pilot, but nobody expected the special participation that happened at the end of the film, which was kept secret by Lucasfilm until the last moment:

In one of the final scenes, the audience is surprised by Maul’s appearance.

In the Star Wars films, the character was reportedly dead in The Phantom Menace, Episode I of the prequel trilogy, but anyone who watches the franchise’s animations knows that the sith remained alive and returned as a recurring character in the animated series Clone Wars.

During the Clone Wars, however, the character leaves aside Darth’s title and changes his name to Maul, as he is no longer a Sith Lord and holds a grudge against his former master, Darth Sidious, and his new apprentice, Darth Vader. .

His participation in the film is a hologram that comes into contact with Qi’la, a character from Emilia Clark, a lieutenant in the Empire. In this scene it is said that the two will work more closely in the future, which leaves us with some alternatives:

1. Will there be a new Han Solo film?

Alden Ehrenreich has signed for at least three more Star Wars films, which may indicate either sequences for his solo film or Han’s appearances in other productions.

2. Possible appearance in Obi-Wan’s film.

We know that Maul and Obi-Wan are great enemies and, after being cut in half, Maul wants to take revenge on Kenobi. With the Jedi master’s solo film in production, depending on the time to be covered in the narrative we may be able to see a little of his fight against Maul.

3. Possible film about Darth Maul.

Contrary to the strong rumors about Obi-Wan’s solo film, nothing has been said about a production in honor of Maul, one of the most loved characters in the prequel trilogy, but this scene can make us think a little about it.
