While the team behind Star Wars: The Rise Skywalker is making unimaginable efforts to keep the script for the new film a secret, John Boyega almost blew it when his copy of the script ended up on eBay.
In his recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, the Finn actor explained what happened:
“I left the complete script under my bed and then I went to change rooms the next morning, I forgot the script under the bed. By the way, we were not filming. We had already finished. Everything was in the past and I forgot the script and, yes, someone sold it on eBay. “
The copy had Boyega’s name marked on every page, and sold for just over $ 80, even though it was probably worth a few thousand.
“I think they based the price on my name on the pages, not the Star Wars script, and I think the person didn’t even read it. They just thought it was cool and tried to sell it online to earn a few dollars.”
The star also comments that he received a terrifying call from his agent, who said: “Dude, I just got a call from Disney and all the great gods in the film industry where you work, where does your livelihood come from, saying that you missed the most powerful script in Hollywood at the moment. “
In conclusion, Boyega laughs: “I don’t think they’ll ever want to work with me again.”
