In a recent interview with the Variety portal via a live stream on Instagram, actor Sebastian Stan spoke a little about his future as Bucky Barnes on Marvel Cinematic Universe, involving a possible future Avengers movie and the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, for Disney +.

When asking about the announcements of a forthcoming meeting of the studio’s heroes in theaters, he disagreed stating that there is still much to be discussed before we think of a new Avengers movie:

“We have to discover some other missions before we even get there. I have to deal with this other person – it was good to take a break from him, Anthony Mackie is just, you know, it’s good to be a little quiet in this quarantine without him. But we first discovered some adventures before we got there. ”

The missions to which it refers are its partnership with the character of Mackie, Falcão, in the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where they will act together. The recordings were happening in full swing and the first season was due to debut in August on the platform, but its production was interrupted amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Sebastian Stan comments on the status of the series:

“The plan is to return as soon as we can – as soon as possible – to finish [a produção]. As soon as we can change that. When people can get back together, we can go back. But we just don’t know [o que acontece] at this time.”

For the time being Disney + has not given a new premiere forecast for the series, but knowing that the series are connected with the MCU films, the premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is expected to be postponed until the end of the year or beginning of 2021, only after Black Widow’s theatrical debut – rescheduled for November 6, 2020.
