Sam Raimi confirms that he will direct Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!

At the beginning of the year the director Scott Derrickson left the command of Doctor Strange 2, and the place has been vacant ever since.

Of course, the director Sam Raimi negotiated with Marvel Studios to take over the project, but nothing confirmed.

Until today (14), in a chat with the site ComingSoon.net, Raimi seems to have confirmed that he will lead the sequence.

“I loved Doctor Strange as a child, […] he was probably my fifth favorite … He was so original, but at that time Spider-Man 2, I had no idea that we were going to make a Doctor Strange movie later, so it was really funny for me that that dialogue got into the film. I will say that I wish I could see the future to know that I would be involved in this project ”.

Raimi directed the films of Spider man, with Toby Maguire.

What we already know from the sequence is that Benedict Cumberbatch returns as the title character.

It seems that the one who doesn’t return is the actress Rachel McAdams. But we must hope that Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor repeat your roles from the first film.

The news should stay with Elizabeth Olsen who is tipped to appear as Wanda, and also the introduction of the characters from the comics like sorceress Clea, America Chavez and brother Voodoo.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) hits theaters in November 2021!
