Nobody imagined it, but the music trailer for the third season of Sabrina’s Dark World was a big spoiler of what’s to come in the new episodes.
egundo Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, creator of the series, in an interview with EW, Sabrina’s new season will have some musical moments.
He says: “It’s something that became a trademark of the show. It happened organically. The idea that Sabrina would be a cheerleader made us realize that we could do musical numbers. And I always loved stories about garage bands. So, what does the Fright Club do when it’s not fighting demons? “.
Aguirre-Sacasa also reveals that he did not work alone: ”Part of it came from Ross Lynch – he is an amazing musician and an incredible singer. I went to a show he did here in Los Angeles and I was like, ‘Oh my God, this guy is a rock star! We have to weave that element more into the show ‘”, says about the help of Harvey’s interpreter in the series.
Straight to Hell, launched to promote the series, was a real success, and public acceptance makes the creator look forward to future seasons: “It was so fun, so pop and so young. We had the video that Netflix released and people loved it. I loved it! At the risk of ruining part 4, we have an epic battle from the band’s episode, which I love. “
Sabrina’s new episodes will open tomorrow, January 24, 2020.
