THE Showtime released today (16) the first teaser and the release date of The Loudest Voice, miniseries that will tell the story of Roger Ailes and the scandal on FOX News.
With 7 episodes, the series will focus on the last decades of the entrepreneur’s life. Ailes was President of Fox News and Fox Television Stations Group from 1996 until he resigned from office in 2016 shortly after a series of allegations by employees of the group surfaced that accused him of sexual harassment.
He worked closely with the Republican party and with presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George HW Bush and Donald Trump. The executive passed away in May 2017 at the age of 77.
The actress Naomi Watts plays Fox News host Gretchen Carlson, the central figure in the lawsuit against Ailes.
The actors also complete the cast Sienna Miller, Elizabeth “Beth” Ailes, a producer on the NBC channel, Seth MacFarlane will be Brian Lewis, Simon McBurney executive Rupert Murdoch and Annabelle Wallis like Laurie Luhn.
The production will be based on the book by Gabriel Sherman called The Loudest Voice in the Room.
Sherman and Tom McCarthy wrote the pilot episode that will be directed by Kari Skogland.
The Loudest Voice arrives on June 30 in the USA. No debut in Brazil.
