Mulan had its debut date changed after the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, going from March to July, and even with the uncertainty of how production directed by Niki Caro will come out at the box office, Disney would be developing a sequel.

According to Full Circle Cinema, Disney is confident in the production and already develops a continuation with the producers Chris Bender, Jason Reed, and Jake Weiner, but Caro’s presence in the director’s chair is not certain.
