It’s not April 1st news: it was announced this Monday and confirmed by the actor himself that Ross Butler, Riverdale star and 13 Reasons Why, will join the cast of the sequel to All the Boys I’ve Loved, Netflix Original based film in Jenny Han’s literary trilogy.
His character will be Trevor Pike, the best friend of Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo). The stars are friends in real life and the chemistry between the two will be very important to portray the bonds between their characters in this new film, since Peter will need a friendly shoulder when the problems in his courtship with Lara Jean (Lana Condor) begin to appear.
The image above promotes the participation of the star in the film, alongside the protagonist of the plot. Also released on Monday was a video filmed by Condor in which Butler was having fun with Centineo behind the scenes, dancing and laughing. The video was later deleted by the cast, but is still on YouTube:
Lara Jean, for her part, will be entertained by the return of John Ambrose McClaren, one of the recipients of his original five letters from the first film. Jordan Fisher was recently confirmed as the actor playing the character in this sequel to the popular romantic comedy.
The film’s recordings have already started, but there is no preview yet.
