Love it or hate it, Rose Tico will be in Star Wars: The Rise Skywalker.
Played by Kelly Marie Tran, the character made her debut in the Star Wars franchise in the eighth episode, The Last Jedi, but did not please much of the audience.
The dissatisfaction of a significant portion of Star Wars fans led the actress to suffer from a massive wave of malicious comments and attacks not only on her character, but on her person.
To defend himself against free hatred, Tran, who has always been a fan of Star Wars and was making his dream come true, turned away from social media.
Recently, already in the disclosures for the ninth episode of Star Wars, it was noticed that Rose Tico was completely removed from official products of the franchise. Images of T-shirts and blouses that originally contained the character’s face have been edited, removing her completely.
With this unjustifiable action, defenders of the character came to worry that she could also disappear from the films, but the trailer revealed on Monday, October 21, proved her presence.

The image above is a screnshoot / print from the exact moment when Rose Tico appears in the new official trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, once again played by Kelly Marie Tran.
In the previous feature, the character had a romantic affair with Finn (John Boyega), but it is still difficult to say what the continuity of this story will be – or whether Tico will develop a bigger role in the new film.
