News for the live-action of Pinocchio to the Disney!
After hanging around the director Paul King to take over the project, it looks like the studio now wants the director Robert Zemeckis for the project.
Zemeckis commanded the films of the franchise Back to the Future, Forrest Gump: The Storyteller, and Allies.

Based on the design launched in the 1940s, Pinocchio was the second animation made by Disney, right after Snow White and the seven dwarfs (1937).
In the plot a wooden doll is made by an old carpenter named Geppetto and that she couldn’t have children. So when a fairy turns the doll into a real boy but with one condition: he must only speak the truth. Then, Pinocchio gains the company of a Missing Cricket that serves as a walking conscience and the two live an adventure around the world.
Jack Thorne who wrote the screenplay for Extraordinary takes care of the preparations for the live-action script that still has no name attached to the cast.

Pinocchio has no premiere date. It is not known whether Disney will opt for a theatrical or Disney + release.
