In a recent interview with the LA Times, star KJ Apa, known primarily for his role with Archie in Riverdale, revealed amid information about his new film, I Still Believe (While We Are Together), that the cast of the popular teen series has renewed his contract with SW for another three years.

He says:

“We all want to make movies. I think we’re all, in a way, wanting to work on other things because we’re stuck in Vancouver and the series. Which is great – we all like working on it. But we’re looking for something more to bite on. It’s amazing that we can also do that, because I don’t know if it’s common for many TV actors to be able to channel easily into the cinema. I’ve always been scared of it, like, ‘Man, I hope I can make some movies, because I don’t want to be the Archie for the rest of my life. “

It was known since January 2020 that Riverdale was officially renewed for the fifth season.

Meanwhile, the series is still in the production phase for its fourth season, which was recently stopped after a team member was diagnosed with coronavirus.

On air on American television, episode 16 aired last week, on March 11, and is only expected to return for the final episodes starting on April 8.
