The entertainment queen Judy Garland will win a biographical film starring Renée Zellweger. Judy, which has direction of Rupert Goold, will show his last journey, where he gets involved in new romances and needs to deal with the exhaustion of those who have not had time off since he was a baby.

“Winter of 1968 and showbiz legend Judy Garland arrives in Swinging London to perform in a sold-out show at The Talk of the Town. 30 years have passed since she shot to global stardom in The Wizard of Oz, but her voice has weakened and her dramatic intensity has only increased.
As you prepare for the show, battles with administrators, musical charms, and contacts with friends and lovely fans, your intelligence and warmth shine. Even her dreams of romance seem unencumbered when she embarks on a relationship with Mickey Deans, her likely fifth husband.
Still, Judy is fragile. After working 45 out of her 47 years, she is exhausted; plagued by memories of a childhood lost to Hollywood; dominated by the desire to return home with her children. Will she have the strength to move on?
Featuring some of his best-known songs, including the timeless classic “Over the Rainbow”, Judy celebrates the voice, the ability to love and the absolute brilliance of the ‘biggest star in the world’ ”.
In addition to Zellweger, the cast of Judy count with Jessie Buckley, Finn Wittrock, Rufus Sewell and Michael Gambon. The script is by Tom Edge.
Judy arrives in North American theaters on the September 27.
