Although the films in the Percy Jackson franchise are extremely famous and have helped to raise the popularity of Rick Riordan’s books around the world, the most loyal fans of the literary saga have lamented the superficiality of the two features released by Fox Filmes, which left aside big ones important aspects of the original works, as well as changes that did not please readers of the saga.
Fans have always charged for a better adaptation, and the series’s own author, Rick Riordan, announced via a video on his Twitter this Thursday, May 14, that Disney + will be adapting his books and more news about the project should be informed to the public soon.
The matter came to Logan Lerman, an actor who played Percy Jackson in the two original films, who he says is looking forward to the new version of the films. He says:
“Looking forward to seeing this! I hope you get the adaptation that the books deserve. Congratulations, Rick Riordan”, comments the actor on his social network.
According to the text shared by Variety, the adaptation will be serialized and each book is expected to yield a season.
There is still no preview for the new audiovisual version of the books.
