Bong Joon Ho, director of South Korean hit Parasita, is involved in the serial adaptation of the feature for HBO, and revealed his plans in a recent interview with The Wraps.

“I’ve accumulated all these important ideas since I started writing the script. I just couldn’t include all of those ideas in the two hours of film length, so they’re stored on my iPad and my goal with this limited series is to create a movie of six hours, “says the director.

The interview continues with some details of what Bong has in mind for the project:

“For example, when the original housekeeper Mun Gwang (Lee Jung Eun) comes back late at night, something happened on her face. Even the husband asked about it, but she never answered. I know why she had bruises on her face. I have a story for that and also, why does she know the existence of this bunker? What relationship does she have with this architect to get to know this bunker? I have all these stories hidden “.
