Until the 6th of June, Thursday, the BIG Festival, the largest independent gaming event in Latin America, is open for registration for the Nordic Game Discovery Contest (NGDC), competition in which the participant presents the game live to an international jury. The goal is to choose the most promising games with the best potential to become global successes. This is the fourth edition of the NGDC and the first time that it takes place in Brazil.
THE BIG Festival was the event chosen in Latin America by the contest organizers for the challenge in one of the fastest growing regions of the global games market. The winner of the Brazilian stage guarantees a place for the Nordic Game Festival, which takes place in Malmö, Sweden, in May 2020. This is a unique opportunity to have your game in the final of one of the main game events in northern Europe.
The games sent can be destined for any platform and developed by both a company and a person. The registration form is available here. The selected projects will be informed on the day June 11th, Tuesday.
THE Nordic Game Discovery Contest is composed of important international and national judges, as Sherly Lyn, co-founder and business director DOGIgames, Justin Berenbaum, vice president of strategic planning at Xsolla; Flávia Gasi, CEO of the ideas workshop Forge, and Jason della Rocca, co-founder of Execution Labs.
In the first phase of the dispute, each competitor presents the game and then needs to answer questions from the judges. Then, it is time for the participant to be analyzed by the jury, who will distribute points for the performances and projects shown. At this moment, whoever impresses the most wins!
