New photos of The New Mutants feature character details!

THE 20th Century Studios has gradually released new photos of the characters of The New Mutants!

They are in the film directed by Josh Boone, the actors Maisie Williams (game of Thrones) like Lupine, the Brazilian Henry Zaga (13 Reasons Why) such as Sunspot, Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things) like Missile, Anya Taylor-Joy(Atlantis) like Magic, Blu Hunt (The Originals) like Danielle Moonstar and Alice Braga (The Queen of the South / Queen of the South) as Dr. Cecilia Reyes.

Thus, the studio separated some images from the cast, and thus, we tell a little about who they are, and their powers.

Lupine – Maisie Williams

Rahne Sinclair has the powers to become a figure that resembles a wolf, hence the name Lupine, and gain skills like super strength and speed. In the film, she will have a religious question about her mutant condition as we see in the photos below.

In the comics, the character appeared in the edition The New Mutants launched in 1982 by Marvel Comics.

Sunspot – Henry Zaga

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Roberto da Costa, better known as Bobby, has the power to absorb solar energy, but these mutant abilities brought problems for the boy who had to leave the country.

In the comics, the character appeared in the edition The New Mutants released in 1982, and in the film, Bobby will still bear the blame for the death of the girlfriend who died when his mutant powers were discovered.

Missile – Charlie Heaton

Samuel Guthrie is one of the most powerful mutants in the group, he has the ability to fly and project into the air like a big rocket.

In the comics, the character appeared in the edition The New Mutants launched in 1982 and suffered an accident at the mine that worked with his father. He only survived because of his powers that made him leave the excavations. In the photos below, we see a piece of rock that he keeps as a souvenir of that day.

Magic – Anya Taylor-Joy

With Russian origins, Illyana Nikolievna Rasputina is a sorceress whose weapon is a powerful sword. and walks with a little dragon to take it off his lap.

In the comics he also showed up in the edition of The New Mutants launched in 1982 and carries a small dragon on its lap. Still on the pages of Marvel Comics, the character spent a long time in Limbo where she learned and suffered from black magic.

Danielle Moonstar (Mirage) – Blu Hunt

Danielle Moonstar is a Native American from the tribe Cheyenne also known as Mirageafter all, she manages to create telepathic illusions and lives having nightmares. She believes that a great mystical bear is after her and her family as we see in the images with the placement that the character uses.

The old synopsis stated that the film would tell the story of The New Mutants, a team of mutant heroes formed by the first graduates of Charles Xavier’s school.

The New Mutants now arrives on April 2, 2020.
