AND GI Joe Origins: Snake Eyes nor did it debut in theaters, but Paramount Pictures already develops another film in the franchise.
According to THR, the duo of screenwriters Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse were hired by the studio to write the script for another feature film about the Hasbro.
The film in development was not described as a sequel to Snake Eyes, and yes, more like an expansion of the world that we will see in the film that is expected to hit theaters in October.
Will we then see a new cinematic universe GI Joe in theaters?
The new film will feature Snake Eyes, a masked ninja, who wears all black, and never reveals his face or talks a lot during missions. Snake Eyes has as its main antagonist, Storm Shadow, a ninja who is his mortal enemy, and whom the character considered as a brother.
In the plot of the film, Shadow works for the villain, Cobra, a deadly enemy of GI Joe.
Samara Weaving and Ursula Corberó are also in the cast.
Robert Schwentke gets the direction. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner produce.
