In celebration of its 35 years, The Adventures of Tintin will win a video game. The game based on the French character is in development by Microids.
The game with TIntim and Milu is being developed for the console and PC, bringing to the platform the character of Hergé who has sold more than 250 million copies worldwide.
The company guarantees that other characters from The Adventures of Tintin will be in what they promise to be an adventure with incredible situations. Besides TIntim and Milu, the presence of Captain Haddock, Detectives Dupont and Dupont, Professor Calculus, among others, is expected.
According to Vitalthrills Stéphane Longeard, CEO of Microids said in a statement “we are extremely happy to work on this co-production. We had been hoping for this to happen for some time. This announcement is the result of a creative process that allowed us to define precisely how this project will take shape and the two companies will interact. This really is a dream come true for us“.
“The game that will come for PC and consoles fits very well in the legacy of the adventures of the most famous investigative reporter“, said Nick Rodwell, director of Moulinsart. “Our ambition is to deliver the audience the most fun and friendly game for everyone to have fun“.
A series of games for The Adventures of Tintin had already been launched in 1989 with Tintin on the Moon, then the Tintin in Tibet (1996), Prisoners of the Sun (1996) and lastly we had The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, as part of the film Steven Spielberg.
We are waiting for the platforms and the release date of the game The Adventures of Tintin.
