THE CCXP19 entered the world calendar of the official celebrations of A.D for 80 years of Batman. And whoever comes to be part of the party is one of the most important names in the history of the character, the comic artist Neal Adams. The artist’s traits made the Dark Knight more athletic and dynamic in the early 1970s, serving as a visual reference for many decades – and also inspiring the credential that gives access to the four days of CCXP19. The comic artist will be present every day in this sixth edition of the largest pop culture festival on the planet, which takes place between December 5th and 8th, at the Sao Paulo Expo.
Neal Adams marked the comic book industry and has been a major creative force on the world market. He worked in legendary magazines from Batman, making the stories again more urban, dramatic and realistic. Together with Dennis O’Neil, Adams is co-creator of Ra’s Al Ghul, a character who has appeared in both Batman films and TV series Arrow and Gotham. Memorable editions of X-Men, Green Lantern, Green Archer, Challenger and Avengers, among many others.
Currently, the comic is working on a series of six parts, Batman vs. Ras Al Ghul, which completes the saga Batman Odyssey. Fans will be able to meet Neal Adams daily at his own booth and in activities to celebrate Batman’s 80th birthday, which will be released soon. All the details of the program will be gathered on a special page on the CCXP website: www.ccxp.com.br/batman80anos.
