The confirmed appearances for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald have been a surprise box for fans of the saga: after Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner), brother of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and the human version of the Nagini snake to be played by Claudia Kim, Minerva McGonagall has just been announced as part of the character team.
Hogwarts’ favorite teacher, originally played by Maggie Smith in the Harry Potter franchise, is confirmed to appear in the second Fantastic Beasts movie. Following the chronology, she is younger in this film and, therefore, a new actress was chosen to bring the character to life: Fiona Glascott.
Remember the trailer of the film:
In the new film, the magical world becomes more and more dangerous and divided when Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) continues as a threat with his philosophy that wizards are superior to humans. Who can prevent his actions is a former friend, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law). But his strength is not enough and so he recruits Hogwarts writer and former student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne).
