Fuga das Galinhas, a popular stop-motion animation from 2000, is about to return for a second film that will be distributed worldwide by Netflix. However, star Mel Gibson, who voiced the rooster Rocky in the first animated feature, may not return to the cast of the sequel.
According to a report released by CBR, Mel Gibson will not reprise his role, but no reason was given for that. There is also no additional information regarding the dubbing cast for the second film.
Julia Swahalha, Miranda Richardson, Timothy Spall, Imelda Staunton and Jane Horrocks were some of the other names who participated in the original English voices of the animation that raised $ 224.83 million worldwide, becoming the stop-motion film with highest grossing of all time until today.

The production of the sequel is expected to start in early 2021 with Sam Fell in the direction and everything points out that the new film will accompany the birth of Rocky and Ginger’s daughter, named Molly, and the emergence of a new threatened one. However, the chickens did not run away this time, but will invade! More details about the plot are expected to be released soon.
There is still no release forecast for the project.
