These two episodes of Marvel – Agents of SHIELD comes to consolidate the version that we have a true multiverse, and this is well shown, even if not spoken. The problem is that with few episodes, the series still creates a belly in the quest for Fitz, who is a broken variable in the new timeline.
SPOILER ALERT: This article contains information about the main events of the episode. Continue reading at your own risk.
While the agents deal with Sarge and his gang in “Window of Opportunity“, in “Fear and Loathing on the Planet of Kitson”We have Jemma and Daisy having leadership problems, but both episodes touch on the subject of parallel timelines and show that this will be a deciding factor in the season.
Sarge didn’t show much, only that he has technology and is looking for material to make his weapons work, so much so that when he invades a jewelry store, he doesn’t want to know about the things there, just a few stones that are used for them to work. The question is, in what?
Benson is a very important character in this new phase of SHIELD, it is he who decodes a device from Tinker, one of Sarge’s men, and discovers that they, together with Jaco, Snowflake and Pax, are responsible for the destruction of a planet and now are on Earth.
There is doubt about his intentions and if the planet is not the Earth in another timeline, that is why he looks like Coulson, even in his DNA, which even Jaco is in doubt when questioning about identity.
Everything that happens in space is about how Fitz will survive … So much so that he is ambushed in a ship with Enoch and they need to survive, while Jemma and Daisy fight about her making them jump for Kitson, instead of returning to Earth.
The episode “Fear and Loathing on the Planet of Kitson”Is all about how they will survive that extreme situation, while in Kitson we have Daisy and Jemma drugged, and Fitz being chased by other Chronicom, who unlike Enoch, who is an anthropologist, the other Chronicom are hunters. The question is what do they want to protect by going after Fitz.
When we see Enoch coming face to face with Jemma and Daisy, he makes it clear that they shouldn’t be there, showing that they broke the timeline. But Malach also comments to them that Fitz was supposed to be dead, reminding us that Fitz went back in time and died on Earth, thus messing up the timelines, because they don’t know that the Fitz they caught is him before he comes back.
Marvel – Agents of SHIELD you need to focus more on your story and you should not waste time on these parallel plots that are sometimes bland and drawn out.
