Live action Hercules in development at Disney for theatrical release!

Another live-action coming there. Now it’s time for animation Hercules launched by Disney in 1997.

According to information from The Disinsider, the studio plans a theatrical release for the classic Greek hero.

The project is in the early stages of development states the story, where Disney works with producers Jeffery Silver and Karen Gilchrist.

The studio is still looking for an experienced director who has already worked with the studio for the project, says the publication.

With songs by Alan Menken, the animation accompanies Hercules, son of the gods, was captured as a baby by Hades and forced to live among mortals as half man and half god.

Now a teenager, Hercules needs to perform a rite of passage on Earth to prove himself worthy of living with the gods of Mount Olympus. With his satyr and courageous helper Philoctetes, Hercules must learn to use his strength to defeat a series of evil creatures.

Cast names have not been announced.

According to THR, Dave Callaham who handled the script for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and yet Wonder Woman 1984 gets scripted.

Brothers Russo, Joe and Anthony will produce the film.

A director has not yet been announced.

Hercules has no premiere date.

In the list of upcoming projects for the studio, in live-action, we have The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, Bambi, and Peter Pan.
