Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 are films closely linked to each other, and while the former is not released, Marvel remains quiet in relation to the latter. We know about some confirmed appearances for the fourth films, and rumors arise from that information.
Ant-Man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) has a daughter named Cassie, who was played by Abby Ryder Fortson in the character’s first solo film, and we know the girl will be reprising the role in Ant-Man and Wasp this year, but the actress who takes the character in the Avengers 4 credits is Emma Fuhrmann. The six-year-old difference between the girls leads us to a teenage Cassie for the new Avengers movie, which will consequently not be played immediately after the Infinite War.
It is also worth mentioning that it may be not just a simple time jump, but a time travel. Last year, the set photos appeared showing important moments of the MCU being recreated. This led to speculation that the film would include time travel, although directors Joe and Anthony Russo later suggested that it is actually Tony Stark’s BARF. technology that is responsible for these scenes.
Even so, this does not necessarily delete the idea of time travel, since the elements are really capable of transporting someone into the future, so maybe one or even several characters from Avengers 4 will be sent to the future to, knowing him, know what to change in the present.
This is all just speculation, at least for now. Avengers 4 will hit theaters on May 2, 2019, but before that we’ll have Avengers: Infinity War next week, on April 26.
