The image above was published today by Dwayne Johnson on his personal Instagram, @therock, where he revealed that the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is already being produced. The caption reads:
“Ladies, gentlemen and children of all ages, the Jumanji sequence is officially underway. Holy shit, what a dynamite report by our writer / director Jake Kasdan. We couldn’t stop laughing and, most importantly – like ours first JUMANJI – the heart in our story is our anchor. Writing with Jake, are our original JUMANJI writers, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. “
He continues in the same publication: “Back in production is my twin brother Matt Tolmach and me, @danygarciaco & @ hhgarcia41. And sorry for the spoiler, but @ kevinhart4real dies in the first 15 seconds of the film, which I am assuming will be a great ovation from the audience and cast @karengillanofficial @jackblack @nickjonas ???? #TheSmolderRetorna #SevenBucksProds #SONY #JUMANJI “.
In the first film, four students are grounded and tasked with cleaning the basement of the school. They find a game called Jumanji and each chooses a character. However, teenagers end up being transported to a jungle and have to face great dangers in order to get back to the real world.
The synopsis of the sequence has not yet been revealed. Read more about Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle 2 to learn everything about the film.
