After a few weeks of negotiation the Disney chose the actor who will play Prince Eric in the live-action version of The Little Mermaid.

The chosen one was Jonah Hauer-King, who made the feature Way home and was in the miniseries Lovely Women in 2017.
The Little Mermaid was released in 1989, the feature marks the Golden Age of the studio’s animations in the late 80’s, and early 90’s, with Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, and all the previous ones have seen films in live-action.
In the plot, Ariel is a sixteen-year-old princess mermaid dissatisfied with life under the sea and curious about the world on earth. She falls in love with a human prince and makes a deal with the sea witch to transform herself into a human.
In the cast we have the actors Halle Bailey, Melissa McCarthy negotiates the role of the villain Ursula, and still Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina. Apart from Bailey, Disney did not confirm any other names.
Rob Marshall should drive, and Lin-Manuel Miranda produced new songs along with Alan Menken.

The live action of The Little Mermaid has no confirmed release date.
