“Joker will annoy comic book fans”, says director

THE Warner Bros initiated the dissemination of Joker, which will stamp the next issue of Empire Magazine. Except that Todd Phillips in an interview the magazine made it clear that the film brings a completely different view of comics, and that this has always been the intention, and that he hopes that some fans don’t care.

Phillips, who co-wrote the feature said, “we don’t follow anything from the comics, which people might be irritated by… We just wrote our own version of where a guy, like the Joker, could have come from. That was interesting to me. We are not only making the Joker, but the story of becoming the Joker. It’s about this man“.

According to the synopsis in Joker the film will be “An original and independent story, never seen before in theaters. The film will follow Arthur Fleck, a man disregarded by society, and it will not only be a courageous character study, but also a much broader cautionary tale. ”

In the cast are still the actors Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role, the actress Zazie Beetz, Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, Douglas Hodge, Dante Pereira-Olson and Brett Cullen.

The production will be an isolated film from the current DC Cinema Universe and Joker opens in the US on October 4, right around the time of awards.
