The producer JJ Abrams confirmed the development of three series for the HBO MAX.
One of them is focused on the characters of the Dark Justice League (read more here).
The second has a provisional title of Duster and will be written by Abrams and the screenwriter LaToya Morgan. The plot will take place in the 1970s, in the Southwest region of the United States, and will accompany an escape driver from a criminal organization that sees his life go from bad to worse.
The third has a provisional title of Overlooke is a spin off from the book O Iluminado, and will take place at the iconic Hotel seen in the work of Stephen King, and in the movies The Shining and Doctor Sleep.
According to a statement, the series will explore the terrifying stories not told in one of the most famous haunted hotels in American literature.
In a statement also the President of Content of HBO Max, the executive Kevin Reilly, stated “What could be better than an original idea by JJ and even Warner Bros let him use characters from DC Universe and his catalog and provide a must-see program on HBO Max.”

HBO Max is scheduled to launch in the US in May.
