Intel renews partnership with Brasil Game Show and sponsors Meet & Greet for the second consecutive year

The thousands of visitors to the Brasil Game Show already know that, in addition to playing the main games of the year, many at first hand, they also have the opportunity to come face to face with big names in the universe of electronic games in Meet & Greet, traditional attraction of the event, which in 2019 will once again count on the sponsorship of Intel. This year, the largest game fair in Latin America will be held between October 9th and 13th, at the Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo / SP.

The Intel Meet & Greet will take place in a special area with two stages and will host famous game designers, eSports players, streamers and personalities in general. During the five days of BGS, they will be available to the public for photos and autographs. Among the personalities already confirmed at the 2019 BGS Meet & Greet are: Jonh Romero, game designer of Doom and Quake, and Shota Nakama, creator of Video Game Orchestra. By October, other big names will be confirmed.

One of the main attractions of the Brasil Game Show, the Meet & Greet has been held since 2015. In 4 years, it has promoted more than 150 hours of meetings between fans and idols such as: Hideo Kojima, series director Metal Gear; Nolan Bushnell, creator of Atari; Cory Barlog, in God of War; Ed Boon, co-creator of Mortal Kombat; David Crane, in Pitfall; Fumito Ueda, in Shadow of the Colossus; Rod Fergusson, in Gears of War; Yoshinori Ono, producer of Street Fighter, and Katsuhiro Harada, director of Tekken.

In addition to creating and hosting the Brasil Game Show, I am passionate about games and I have a special affection for Meet & Greet because, like the visitors, I am also a fan of the work of many names that will be on both stages”, Commented Marcelo Tavares, CEO and founder of BGS. “Having Intel’s support and confidence in this initiative allows us to invest even more in this space every year, which is a favorite of the public. Last year, for example, we doubled the space and, with sponsorship from Intel, we held more than 80 meetings, much more than in 2017”.

Other Intel actions at BGS 2019

Intel’s participation will not be limited to Meet & Greet. The technology multinational will make activations with several partners during BGS, especially in the PC Gaming area, highlighting the main products of the brand, such as the Intel SSD and the 9th generation of Intel® Core ™ processors, which offer fast and immersive experiences for gamers.

Intel constantly invests in the development of new products for the most demanding audiences, which demand maximum investments, such as gamers. This bet on games and eSports is not new: Intel has supported initiatives in the segment for 13 years”, comments Carlos Buarque, marketing director at Intel Brasil. “Our presence at BGS is fundamental for the relationship with partners and fans of this universe, who can have contact with Intel’s main innovations focused on the gamer audience, and provide us with feedbacks for new products and actions aimed at this audience.”.

In addition to Intel, the 12th edition of the Brasil Game Show will have among sponsors the ASUS, a Epic Games and the Falkol eSports, which will debut at the event this year.
