The fifth film in the saga, which began in 1981 with The Adventurers of the Lost Ark, is now without a director, but perhaps not for long. The American website announces that another director may be talking to Disney. There are rumors that James Mangold is who could take Spielberg’s place. Recently, the filmmaker has been successful with Ford and Ferrari and Logan, and it would be a great attraction for Disney.

If he joins the project, James Mangold will have to run to not delay the release of the film in the cinema. Announced in 2016, the film has been postponed three times. Filming, which is due to start in two months, may well be postponed again. Scheduled for July 2019, the film has been postponed to 2020 and now to 2021.

Although Spielberg gave up on directing the film, he did not give up on his production. Like Jurassic Park, he is expected to remain close to the project and will likely work on executive production. Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled to hit theaters in July 7, 2021. This is the fifth time that Harrison Ford has worn the uniform of the legendary character.
