After Hellboy’s big failure at the box office, actor David Harbor (Stranger Things) places the blame on fans of Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman, from the original film. The controversial statement was made by the artist on his own Instagram profile, @dkharbour, during a question and answer session that is no longer available.

Live, he said:

“I think the film failed even before we started shooting, because people didn’t want us to make the film […] Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman created this iconic thing that we thought could be reinvented, but the sound of the internet said, “We don’t want you to play that.” And so we made a movie that I think was fun and that had its problems, but it was a fun movie, and people were very against it and that’s true, but I learned my lesson in a lot of different ways. “

Synopsis: Nimue (Milla Jovovich), the Queen of Blood, was a witch so powerful that no mortal has ever managed to defeat her. During a battle, his body was divided into six parts and spread to the most distant places on Earth. Centuries later, a massacre in a monastery near London raises the suspicion that someone may be looking to revive it and Hellboy (David Harbor) is tasked with containing this terrible threat.
