THE HBO confirmed today (12) that the miniseries The Third Day arrives in May on the channel
The production was developed in partnership with Sky Atlantic UK, and will have Jude Law and Naomi Harris in the main roles.
The channel also released the first photos and details of the plot:
With 6 episodes, the project has production of Dennis Kelly and Felix Barrett. The series will be divided into 2 parts called Summer and winter.
Part 1 will have 3 episodes and follows the trajectory of Sam (Law) that when you arrive on a mysterious island off the British coast, you discover a world with secret inhabitants.
Thus, by being isolated from the continent, and having to deal with the island’s rituals, he is confronted by a trauma from his past. As the line between reality and fantasy blur, Sam finds himself on an emotional journey that puts him in conflict with the islanders and begins to threaten his way of life.
Part 2, with the other 3 remaining episodes, will show Helen (Harris) as a visitor who arrives on the island in search of answers, but her arrival at the place will also decide her destination.
In the cast we still have Katherine Waterston, Emily Watson, and Paddy Considine.
The Third Day arrives on May 11 in the USA.
