On January 1, 2000, Editora Rocco launched the first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in Brazil. Thus, 20 years after its release, and with more than 3 million copies sold in the country, the publisher decided to publish a new edition of the entire saga.

In this new edition, all 7 books in the saga will come in hardcover and with illustrations by Brian Selznick, creator of Hugo Cabret’s Invention. Therefore, the new edition is similar to the one that was launched in the United States in 2018. In addition, Editora Rocco will launch a box with the 7 books in the saga. This box comes with illustrations depicting the four houses of Hogwarts: Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, and with the faces of Harry and Voldemort.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
The first book in the saga is Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It all starts when Harry loses his parents when he was a baby. Thus, Harry is handed over to his mother’s sister’s family and as he grows up he is mistreated by his uncles. However, the boy’s life changes when he turns 11 and is invited to join the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, setting off a series of adventures.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
The story of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets begins when Harry’s uncles are organizing an important dinner and order the boy to hide quietly in his room. However, the appearance of Dobby, the house elf, ruins the dinner and Harry ends up being grounded, forbidden to return to Hogwarts. However, everything ends well when his friend Ron rescues him with his father’s flying car. They both manage to get back to Hogwarts, however, someone has released a fearsome monster at school and the place doesn’t look as safe as it once did.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
In the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban the murderer Sirius Black escapes from the safest prison in the wizarding world. Everyone believes he is after Harry, as he would have participated in the murder of his parents. Harry then must find out what really happened, along with Hermione and Ron, while dealing with the dementors, the fearsome guardians of Azkaban.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
In the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire happens one of the biggest events in the wizarding world: the Triwizard Tournament. In it, 3 capons from each of the schools (Hogwarts, Durmstrang and Beauxbaton) are chosen to participate in three tests evaluated by the principals. Upon winning the tournament, the winner takes the Triwizard Cup and a monetary prize of 1000 galleons. However, a fourth competitor is selected for the tournament.
