During the Amazon Prime Video at the TCA 2019, the streaming service announced that the series Good Omens, based on the work of Neil Gaiman, arrives in May on the platform.
The production will be a series with 6 episodes produced by BBC Studios and that will have global distribution of Prime Video.
In the main roles we have the actors Michael Sheen and David Tennant like a angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley, respectively. In the plot, the pair of celestial beings maintain an improbable friendship over the millennia where they live a life on Earth.
But when the Apocalypse approaches they will have to join forces to save the world from Anti-Christ. What they didn’t count on is that the most powerful creature on the planet is an 11-year-old boy who adores his dog, cares about the environment and is the son any parent would like to have. Besides, of course, being indestructible.
Another novelty that the actor Benedict Cumberbatch, will give voice to the animated version of Satan!
In the cast we still have Jon Hamm, Jack Whitehall, Michael McKean, Adria Arjona, Nina Sosanya, Ned Dennehy, Ariyon Bakare, Mark Gatiss, Derek Jacobi, Nick Offerman and Miranda Richardson.
Good Omens premieres on American Prime Video in may 31st.
