Good news for Gentefied fans: Netflix’s bilingual series was officially renewed by Netflix this past Wednesday (20th) for a second season, which will bring eight new episodes to the production of Marvin Lemus and Linda Yvette Chávez. The information is from Deadline.
In celebration, the cast and creators of Gentefied gathered for a reading to benefit Proyecto Pastoral, a nonprofit organization in Boyle Heights that is supporting families and low-income residents who are suffering from the impacts of COVID-19 in the community from Boyle Heights.
Starring Karrie Martin, JJ Soria, Carlos Santos and Joaquín Cosio, the series is a dramatic comedy that had its first season launched on February 21, 2020 and quickly won over many fans on the streaming platform.
