After the first photos released by Netflix last week, the streaming service announced that the actress Geena Davis will participate in the new year of comedy Glow.
The character of the actress will be Sandy Devereaux St. Clair, the director of the Casino and Hotel Fan-Tan, where the girls will be staying. According to the deadline the actress participates in 5 of the 10 episodes of the new year.
In GLOW, Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie) is an unemployed and struggling actress in Los Angeles in the 1980s, who finds her last chance to become a star by entering headlong into the world of glitter and the collars of women’s wrestling.
In addition to working with 12 eccentric Hollywood women, Ruth must compete with Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin), a former soap opera actress who left her career behind to be a mother. But she goes back to work when she realizes that her perfect little life was not quite what it appeared to be.
Directing them all is Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron), a second-rate film director, finished and addicted to cocaine, who now needs to lead 14 women on a journey to wrestling stardom.
