Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins are confirmed at CCXP19

The whole world celebrates today the Wonder Woman Day. To celebrate the date, the CCXP19 and Warner Bros. announce the coming of none other than Gal Gadot for the festival. The star of Wonder Woman 1984 will be together with the director of the feature, Patty Jenkins, in a panel of Cinemark XD Auditorium on Sunday (8). Fans will also be able to see the first trailer for the film, slated to hit theaters in June next year. In its 6th edition, the biggest pop culture festival in the world takes place between December 5th and 8th, at the São Paulo Expo.

Israeli actress Gal Gadot was known for her role in the franchise Fast and furious. Her first appearance as Wonder Woman happened in Batman vs Superman: The Origin of Justice. The superheroine’s first solo film hit the big screen in 2017 and, in the same year, she also participated in Justice League. Director and screenwriter Patty Jenkins worked on Monster, a docudrama that won the Oscar for Best Actress for Charlize Theron. In 2011, Jenkins received an Emmy nomination as best director of the drama series for the pilot of The Killing.

The next Wonder Woman adventure in theaters advances to the 1980s and pits the superheroine against a new enemy: the Leopard Woman. Directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Wonder Woman 1984 brings in the cast Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen. The film is based on the DC character created by William Moulton Marston. The script for the feature is signed by Jenkins, along with Geoff Johns and Dave Callahem.

In 2018, the festival received 262 thousand visitors, setting a record attendance and establishing itself once again as the largest pop culture festival in the world. CCXP is already part of the country’s cultural calendar and this year it will take place between December 5th and 8th, at São Paulo Expo. Learn more at
