It is just over a year before the release of the long-awaited Frozen sequel, but director Jennifer Lee is already provoking the audience with some information regarding the progress of production. According to her, four new songs are already completed:
“We have a new song that I think is an evolution. It’s your own song … Bobby and Kristen just delivered it three weeks ago. We have been working with them for two years and this song just arrived and I loved it” , comments in an interview with the Variety portal.
Bobby Lopes and Kristen Anderson-Lopez worked on the soundtrack of the first film in the franchise and the partnership was a real success, leading even an Oscar for Best Original Song to Let it Go, the film’s anthem. Remember the song:
With Lee’s comment, however, it is already clear that Frozen 2 will not be at the mercy of the songs and pasts and is already expected to have its own hit. Everyone is working hard to make their soundtrack as memorable as that of the first film, and audiences are also eager to be able to sing their new favorite songs.
The sequel has been in production for a long time, demonstrating all the team’s commitment to delivering an incredible product to the public, which is worth the delay. Some things still need to be worked on, as the first film had seven main songs and, so far, only four have been announced for the second, but we’re in time: the sequel is expected to open in theaters on November 22, 2019 .
